VT-22 Golden Eagles Heritage Shoulder Patch - Training Squadron 22 (VT-22) Golden Eagles, callsign Blazer, U.S. Navy Strike Jet Training Squadron, NAS Kingsville, Embroidered Shoulder Patch.

Blazer callsign pride, Wings of Gold tradition, and the enduring identity of the Navy's premier strike jet training squadron stitched into one heritage piece.

VT-22 traces its lineage to Advanced Training Unit 6, established on 13 June 1949 at Naval Air Station Corpus Christi as the first unit in U.S. Navy history to train Naval Aviators in jet aircraft. The squadron later helped transition the Blue Angels to jet flight before settling permanently at NAS Kingsville, Texas, where it was redesignated Training Squadron 22 in 1960. Today the Golden Eagles operate under Training Air Wing Two as one of only four strike jet training squadrons in the Navy, flying the T-45C Goshawk through a demanding twelve-month syllabus of more than 130 flights and 160 flight hours. That syllabus covers basic instruments, formation flying, carrier qualification, and basic fighter maneuvering, and it ends when student naval aviators from the Navy, Marine Corps, and allied nations pin on their Wings of Gold and report to fleet replacement squadrons. The heritage shoulder patch format connects that long arc of training excellence to a wearable, displayable piece that carries real squadron identity rather than generic aviation imagery.

Perfect For: VT-22 Golden Eagles alumni, student naval aviators who earned their Wings of Gold at Kingsville, T-45C Goshawk crew members and maintainers, Training Air Wing Two veterans, NAS Kingsville supporters, Navy and Marine Corps aviation collectors, shadow box builders, squadron reunion displays, challenge coin and patch boards, and families who want a meaningful tribute to the instructors and graduates who kept the strike training pipeline running across more than seven decades of naval aviation history.

Golden Eagles heritage, stitched for every aviator who flew the Goshawk and earned their wings at Kingsville.
