Officially Licensed Marine Torpedo Bombing Squadron VMTB-622 Patch — VMTB-622 WWII-Era Embroidered Patch

VMTB-622 — Marine torpedo bombers carrying the fight to the enemy in the Pacific war.

VMTB-622 was a Marine Torpedo Bombing squadron that served during World War II, flying the TBF/TBM Avenger. As one of the higher-numbered VMTB squadrons, VMTB-622 was part of the massive expansion of Marine aviation during the war, when the Corps stood up dozens of new squadrons to meet the demands of the Pacific campaign. The Avenger torpedo bomber gave Marine aviation a powerful strike capability against both naval and land targets. VMTB-622 crews trained extensively in torpedo delivery, level bombing, and dive bombing techniques before deploying to the combat theater.

Perfect For:
VMTB-622 veterans and descendants, WWII Marine Corps aviation expansion historians, TBF/TBM Avenger community, Pacific theater collectors, and vintage USMC torpedo bombing squadron patch collectors.

VMTB-622. Strike from the sea.
