Officially Licensed VMTB-464 Patch — Marine Torpedo Bombing Squadron 464 WWII-Era Embroidered Patch

VMTB-464 — Avenger torpedo bombers in the Marine Corps' WWII aviation arsenal.

VMTB-464 was a Marine Torpedo Bombing squadron that operated during World War II as part of the massive expansion of Marine aviation. Flying the TBF/TBM Avenger, VMTB-464 was trained for anti-shipping strikes, bombing missions, and close air support operations. The Marine torpedo bombing community represented a unique blend of naval aviation skills — pilots who could deliver torpedoes against moving ships at wave-top height and then switch to bombing and strafing ground targets in support of Marines ashore. VMTB-464 was part of the industrial-scale aviation buildup that gave the Marine Corps overwhelming airpower in the Pacific.

Perfect For:
VMTB-464 veterans and descendants, WWII Marine torpedo bombing squadron collectors, TBF/TBM Avenger enthusiasts, Pacific campaign historians, and vintage USMC squadron patch collectors.
