VMM-365 First And Finest PVC Shoulder Patch - Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 365 (VMM-365) Blue Knights MV-22B Osprey PVC Shoulder Patch.
Blue Knights pride, East Coast assault support identity, and six decades of Marine aviation heritage captured in one durable PVC patch.
VMM-365 was established on July 1, 1963, at Marine Corps Air Facility Santa Ana, California, and flew UH-34Ds into combat during Operation Shufly in Vietnam beginning in October 1964, earning both the Presidential Unit Citation and the Navy Unit Commendation for that service. The squadron carried that hard-won reputation through decades of deployments, transitions, and redesignations before becoming Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 365 on January 15, 2009, after completing conversion to the MV-22B Osprey. Based at Marine Corps Air Station New River, North Carolina, under Marine Aircraft Group 26 and the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, the Blue Knights set a record by reaching full MV-22B combat readiness in under fifteen months, the fastest of any Osprey squadron at the time. Their inaugural Osprey deployment took them to Helmand Province, Afghanistan, in June 2010, followed by a return to Camp Bastion in January 2012 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. A 2015 deployment with the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit saw the squadron fly more than 3,500 hours while posting the highest aircraft readiness rate of any MV-22B Aviation Combat Element to that point. The First And Finest motto reflects that sustained record of readiness, lift, and operational excellence across every era of the squadron's history.
Perfect For: VMM-365 Blue Knights veterans and alumni, MV-22B Osprey aircrew and maintainers, MAG-26 and 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing collectors, MCAS New River service members and families, Marine Expeditionary Unit supporters, Operation Enduring Freedom veterans, shadow box builders, patch panel displays, reunion gifts, deployment keepsakes, and anyone assembling a serious East Coast Marine aviation collection that honors both Vietnam-era helicopter heritage and modern tiltrotor assault support.
First And Finest since 1963, stitched in PVC for the crews who kept that standard.
