Official VMGR-252 95th Anniversary Patch — Nine-Five and Still Hauling
Ninety-five years of keeping the Marine Corps fueled, loaded, and airborne.
Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 252 (VMGR-252) "Otis" is one of the most storied logistics aviation squadrons in the Marine Corps, flying the KC-130J Super Hercules out of MCAS Cherry Point, North Carolina, under MAG-14 and the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing. With a lineage stretching back 95 years, VMGR-252 has been the East Coast's premier aerial refueling and assault transport squadron through every major conflict and operation. Whether it's midair refueling of fighters and tiltrotors, hauling troops and cargo into austere airfields, or dropping paratroopers and supplies, the Otis crews do it all — and they've been doing it longer than most squadrons have existed. The KC-130J is the workhorse of Marine aviation logistics, and VMGR-252 has flown every variant of the Hercules the Corps has ever operated. This 95th anniversary patch celebrates nearly a century of service and a legacy of getting it done.
Perfect For: VMGR-252 Otis aircrew and veterans, KC-130J Super Hercules community, MAG-14 and 2nd MAW personnel, MCAS Cherry Point squadrons, aerial refueling and transport professionals, and anyone who respects the Herc.
VMGR-252 Otis — 95 years of hauling everything, everywhere.
