**Officially Licensed USMC VMGR-152 Sumos Squadron Sticker — Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron Vinyl Sticker**
The Sumos — the Pacific's gas station. Over 300,000 mishap-free flight hours and still fueling the fight from Japan to Afghanistan and everywhere in between.
VMGR-152, the "Sumos," is a KC-130J Super Hercules aerial refueler transport squadron stationed at MCAS Iwakuni, Japan, under MAG-12 and 1st Marine Aircraft Wing. First activated in 1942 as VMJ-253, the squadron pioneered trans-oceanic transport in the Marine Corps during WWII and became the parent squadron for the South Pacific Combat Air Transport Command (SCAT). From Vietnam — where they flew 900 missions a month at peak operations, refueled Marine F-4s and A-4s, and dropped flares for night ground operations — through humanitarian relief across the Pacific including Cyclone Nargis in Myanmar, the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, and Philippine typhoon relief, the Sumos have been the backbone of Marine aviation in the Pacific for over 80 years. Multiple times named Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron of the Year.
