**Officially Licensed USMC VMFA-334 Falcons Sticker — Marine Fighter Attack Squadron Vinyl Sticker**
VMFA-334 Falcons — from World War II to the skies over Da Nang and Chu Lai, the Falcons flew hard and hit harder in F-4 Phantoms during some of the most intense air operations of the Vietnam War.
Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 334 (VMFA-334), the "Falcons," was originally commissioned on 1 August 1943 as VMSB-334 at MCAS Cherry Point, North Carolina, flying SBD Dauntless bombers during World War II. Reactivated on 31 May 1952 at MCAS Miami during the Korean War buildup, the squadron flew F6F Hellcats, F4U Corsairs, and F9F Panthers before transitioning to the F-4J Phantom II in 1967 with its redesignation as VMFA-334. The Falcons deployed to Vietnam on 20 August 1968, arriving at Da Nang Air Base on 1 September and commencing combat operations almost immediately. The squadron relocated to Chu Lai in early 1969 and remained in Vietnam until September 1969, when they moved to MCAS Iwakuni, Japan, flying air support missions related to the USS Pueblo crisis with North Korea. The Falcons returned to MCAS El Toro and were deactivated on 30 December 1971.
