**Officially Licensed USMC VMFA-333 Trip Trey Sticker — Fighting Shamrocks Vinyl Sticker**

VMFA-333 Trip Trey — the Fighting Shamrocks scored the only all-Marine MiG kill of the Vietnam War, then went on to deliver two million pounds of ordnance during Desert Storm without losing a single aircraft. Three shamrocks, three times the fight.

Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 333 (VMFA-333), the "Fighting Shamrocks" or "Trip Trey," was activated on 1 August 1943 at MCAS Cherry Point as VMSB-333. The squadron flew SBD Dauntless bombers from Midway Island in WWII, then reactivated in 1952 and progressed through F6F Hellcats, F4U Corsairs, A-1 Skyraiders, FJ-3 Furys, and F-8 Crusaders — becoming the first Marine squadron to receive the F8U-2 Crusader in 1959. During the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962, VMF-333 stood armed hot pad alert at Guantanamo Bay. On 11 September 1972, flying F-4J Phantoms from USS America over North Vietnam, Major Lee Lasseter and Captain John Cummings scored the only all-Marine air-to-air MiG-21 kill of the Vietnam War. The last regular Marine squadron to fly the F-4 Phantom, VMFA-333 transitioned to F/A-18 Hornets in 1987 and flew over 700 combat missions during Desert Storm, delivering more than two million pounds of ordnance. The Shamrocks were decommissioned on 31 March 1992.
