**Officially Licensed USMC VMFA-134 Smoke Sticker — Marine Reserve Fighter Attack Squadron Vinyl Sticker**
VMFA-134 "Smoke" — the Marine Reserve squadron that proved weekend warriors could hang with the regulars, flying F/A-18 Hornets out of Miramar and keeping the 4th Marine Aircraft Wing combat-ready while holding down day jobs. Reserves, not reservations.
Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 134 (VMFA-134), known as "Smoke," was originally activated on 1 May 1943 at MCAS Santa Barbara, California, as Marine Scout Bombing Squadron 134 (VMSB-134). Quickly redesignated as Marine Torpedo Bombing Squadron 134 (VMTB-134), the squadron deployed to the South Pacific and participated in campaigns across the Solomon Islands, New Britain, the Northern Solomons, and the Philippines during WWII. After deactivation in 1946, the squadron was reactivated on 15 April 1958 at NAS Los Alamitos as VMF-134 in the Marine Air Reserve. Over the following decades, the unit transitioned through A-4 Skyhawks and F-4 Phantom IIs before receiving its final designation as VMFA-134 in 1983. Based at MCAS Miramar under Marine Aircraft Group 46, 4th Marine Aircraft Wing, the "Smoke" squadron flew F/A-18A Hornets as a reserve fighter attack squadron until transitioning to cadre status on 1 April 2007.
