Officially Licensed USMC VMCJ-2 Playboys Patch — Marine Composite Reconnaissance Squadron 2 Embroidered Patch
The Playboys — VMCJ-2's electronic warfare and reconnaissance Marines.
VMCJ-2 "Playboys" was a Marine composite reconnaissance squadron that combined photo reconnaissance and electronic warfare missions into a single unit. The VMCJ squadrons flew RF-4B Phantom IIs for photo reconnaissance and EA-6A Electric Intruders for electronic warfare, providing Marine air wings with organic intelligence collection and electronic attack capabilities. VMCJ-2 served during the Vietnam era, flying some of the most dangerous missions in Marine aviation — unarmed photo runs over heavily defended targets and electronic warfare missions that required flying toward enemy radar sites.
Perfect For:
VMCJ-2 Playboys veterans, RF-4B Phantom II reconnaissance crews, EA-6A Electric Intruder crews, Marine electronic warfare pioneers, and USMC composite reconnaissance squadron patch collectors.
