**Officially Licensed USMC VMAT(AW)-202 Double Eagles Sticker — Marine All-Weather Attack Training Squadron Vinyl Sticker**
VMAT(AW)-202 Double Eagles — the squadron that trained every Marine A-6 Intruder crew to deliver ordnance in any weather, day or night. If you flew the Intruder for the Corps, the Double Eagles made you mission-ready.
VMAT(AW)-202, the "Double Eagles," was the Marine Corps' all-weather attack training squadron responsible for producing combat-ready A-6 Intruder aircrews and bombardier/navigators for the Fleet Marine Force. Operating the Grumman A-6 Intruder and its variants — including the KA-6D tanker and TC-4C Academe trainer — the Double Eagles ensured Marine aviators could execute precision strikes in zero-visibility conditions. The A-6 Intruder was the Marine Corps' premier all-weather, deep-strike platform throughout the Cold War era, seeing extensive combat in Vietnam, where Marine A-6 squadrons delivered devastating precision attacks on heavily defended targets. The squadron was based at MCAS Cherry Point, North Carolina, under the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, and played a critical role in sustaining the Corps' all-weather attack capability until the A-6's retirement in the 1990s.
