Vietnam Agent Orange Patch — Embroidered Patch
The War That Followed Them Home
The enemy in Vietnam wasn't always visible. Agent Orange — the tactical herbicide sprayed across millions of acres of jungle — became a silent adversary that followed veterans home and continued its assault for decades. This patch honors the Vietnam veterans who were exposed to Agent Orange and the ongoing fight for recognition, treatment, and justice.
Between 1962 and 1971, the United States military sprayed approximately 20 million gallons of tactical herbicides across Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia as part of Operation Ranch Hand. Agent Orange, the most commonly used herbicide, contained dioxin — one of the most toxic chemicals known to science. Thousands of service members were exposed during ground operations, base duties, and aviation missions through areas that had been recently sprayed. The health effects didn't manifest immediately, but over the years, Vietnam veterans experienced dramatically elevated rates of cancer, diabetes, heart disease, and other conditions linked to dioxin exposure. The fight for VA recognition and benefits has been long and painful, but Agent Orange veterans have never stopped advocating for themselves and their brothers.
Perfect For:
Agent Orange-exposed veterans, Vietnam veteran advocates, VA benefits awareness supporters, veteran health advocates, Vietnam-era memorabilia collectors, and families affected by Agent Orange
The war didn't end when they came home. For many, it was just beginning.
