**Officially Licensed US Navy VF-74 Be-Devilers Sticker — Fighter Squadron Vinyl Sticker**
VF-74 Be-Devilers — "First in Phantoms" and the first fleet squadron to get the F-14B. That devil insignia wasn't just for looks.
VF-74, the "Be-Devilers," was established as VBF-20 on 16 April 1945 at NAS Wildwood, New Jersey. The squadron flew combat sorties during the Korean War aboard USS Bon Homme Richard, completing 1,500 combat strikes against North Korean targets. In 1961, VF-74 made history by becoming the first deployable U.S. Navy squadron to operate the F-4 Phantom II, earning the legendary motto "First in Phantoms." The Be-Devilers deployed to Vietnam aboard USS America and flew seven combat periods on Yankee Station without losing a single aircraft to enemy action. VF-74 transitioned to the F-14 Tomcat in 1983 and on 11 August 1988 became the first fleet squadron to receive the upgraded F-14B variant. The squadron participated in Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm aboard USS Saratoga. VF-74 was disestablished on 30 April 1994 after 50 years of distinguished service.
