**Officially Licensed US Navy VF-301 Devil's Disciples Sticker — Fighter Squadron Vinyl Sticker**
VF-301 Devil's Disciples — weekend warriors who flew Tomcats just as hard as the active-duty guys, and logged over 71,000 mishap-free hours to prove it. "Give 'em Hell, Baby."
VF-301 was activated on 1 October 1970 as a Naval Air Reserve fighter squadron, assigned to Carrier Air Wing Reserve 30 (CVWR-30) at NAS Miramar, California. The Devil's Disciples initially flew the F-8L Crusader before transitioning to the F-4B Phantom in 1974, then quickly upgrading through the F-4N and F-4S — the most advanced Phantom variant in Navy service. In October 1984, VF-301 transitioned to the F-14A Tomcat, completing their first carrier qualifications aboard USS Ranger. The squadron made its first F-14 deployment in April 1985, training against USMC F-21A Kfir fighters at MCAS Yuma. VF-301 later became the first Naval Air Reserve squadron to drop air-to-ground ordnance, delivering Mk 84 bombs and Mk 20 cluster munitions. Over 24 years of service, the Devil's Disciples accumulated an outstanding safety record of over 71,322 flight hours without a Class A mishap — a Navy jet squadron record. VF-301 was disestablished on 11 September 1994 alongside sister squadron VF-302 as post-Cold War cuts eliminated Reserve F-14 units.
