**Officially Licensed US Navy VF-201 Hunters Sticker — Fighter Squadron Vinyl Sticker**
VF-201 Hunters — the Reserve squadron out of Texas that transitioned from Crusaders to Phantoms to Tomcats and never missed a beat. Don't let "Reserve" fool you.
VF-201, the "Hunters," was a U.S. Naval Air Reserve fighter squadron based at NAS Dallas (later NAS Fort Worth JRB), Texas. Originally established in 1970 as part of the Reserve carrier air wing structure, VF-201 flew the F-8H Crusader before transitioning to the F-4N Phantom II. In 1986, the Hunters became one of the elite Reserve squadrons selected to fly the F-14A Tomcat, joining CVWR-20 (Reserve Carrier Air Wing Twenty). The squadron was later redesignated VFA-201 in 1999 and transitioned to the F/A-18A+ Hornet, continuing its mission as a combat-ready Reserve strike fighter unit. Throughout its history, VF-201 maintained an outstanding safety and readiness record, regularly deploying for carrier qualifications and participating in fleet exercises alongside active-duty squadrons. VFA-201 was eventually disestablished in 2007 as part of ongoing Reserve restructuring.
