VAW-123 "Screwtops" is a Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron flying the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye out of Naval Station Norfolk, Virginia. The Screwtops provide airborne early warning, battle management, and command and control for the carrier strike group — they're the eyes and ears of the fleet, orbiting high above the fight and directing every fighter, missile, and asset in the battlespace. The squadron has deployed on every East Coast carrier and supported operations from the Mediterranean to the Arabian Gulf. This Venom-themed PVC shoulder patch brings attitude to the Hawkeye community with glow-in-the-dark features that light up during night ops and darkened ready room briefs. It's a morale patch that says the Screwtops don't just watch the fight — they run it.
