Official US Navy VAW-115 Liberty Bell Patch — Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron 115 Liberty Bell Embroidered Patch
Liberty Belles — the bell that rings for freedom.
Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron 115 (VAW-115) "Liberty Belles" patch features the iconic Liberty Bell that has been the squadron's symbol since its establishment. VAW-115 operated the E-2 Hawkeye airborne early warning aircraft, providing the carrier strike group with long-range surveillance, air control, and battle management capabilities that are essential to naval air warfare.
VAW-115 was one of the Navy's most operationally experienced Hawkeye squadrons, having spent years forward-deployed to Japan as part of Carrier Air Wing Five (CVW-5) aboard USS Ronald Reagan. The Liberty Belles' Hawkeye crews provided the airborne command and control that coordinated every aspect of carrier air operations — from vectoring fighters to intercept incoming threats to managing the complex air traffic of a full-scale carrier strike. The E-2 Hawkeye's powerful radar could detect and track hundreds of targets simultaneously, giving the strike group commander unprecedented situational awareness across hundreds of miles of ocean and airspace. VAW-115's forward-deployed status made them one of the busiest and most experienced Hawkeye squadrons in the fleet.
This patch features the Liberty Bell that defines VAW-115's identity.
Perfect For: VAW-115 Liberty Belles veterans, E-2 Hawkeye crews, CVW-5 personnel, and carrier airborne early warning collectors.
