Officially Licensed US Navy VA-82 Marauders Sticker - Attack Squadron 82 (VA-82) Marauders officially licensed U.S. Navy vinyl sticker.
Marauders aggression, carrier-borne strike heritage, and nearly four decades of Navy aviation history captured in one clean, durable sticker.
VA-82 was established on 1 May 1967 at NAS Cecil Field, Florida, as a light attack squadron flying the Vought A-7A Corsair II. The Marauders joined Carrier Air Wing Six and made their first combat deployment aboard USS America in April 1968, becoming one of the first east coast squadrons to take the A-7A into combat over North Vietnam. During a ten-month combat cruise in 1972 and 1973, VA-82 played a direct role in the destruction of the Thanh Hoa Bridge, one of the most heavily defended targets of the entire war. Through the 1970s the squadron earned the Wade McClusky Award as the Navy's top attack squadron and collected multiple Battle E awards for combat readiness. On 13 July 1987, VA-82 was redesignated VFA-82 and became the first F/A-18C Hornet squadron in the fleet, pioneering air-to-ground and air-to-air tactics that shaped the strike fighter community. The Marauders flew 597 combat sorties over Iraq during Operation Desert Storm and later logged 159 consecutive days deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom after September 11, 2001. The squadron was disestablished on 30 September 2005 after nearly four decades of distinguished carrier service.
Perfect for Navy aviation veterans, VA-82 and VFA-82 alumni, A-7 Corsair II and F/A-18C Hornet enthusiasts, carrier air wing collectors, Operation Desert Storm and Operation Enduring Freedom commemorators, shadow box builders, cruise book displays, reunion gifts, and anyone assembling a serious U.S. Navy attack and strike fighter squadron collection. The officially licensed design makes it a trustworthy tribute for families, maintainers, and supporters who want a verified piece of Marauders heritage rather than a generic aviation sticker.
Marauders heritage, officially licensed, and built to last as long as the missions it represents.
