**Officially Licensed US Navy VA-26 Skylaunchers Sticker — Attack Squadron Vinyl Sticker**
VA-26 Skylaunchers — a short-lived but pioneering Pacific Fleet attack squadron that helped write the playbook for carrier-based jet attack aviation before folding into one of the Navy’s most important training commands.
VA-26 was established on June 30, 1956, at NAS Lemoore, California, flying the Grumman F9F-8 Cougar. The "Skylaunchers" were a Pacific Fleet attack squadron assigned to Carrier Air Group 12 during a period of rapid transition from propeller-driven aircraft to jet attack platforms. In April 1958, VA-26 was redesignated VA-125 and its mission shifted from frontline combat operations to fleet replacement training. As VA-125 "Rough Raiders," the squadron became the West Coast’s premier light attack training unit, introducing fleet pilots to the A-4 Skyhawk — including the first TA-4F two-seat trainer variant received by any Navy squadron in May 1966. VA-125 also trained Royal Australian Navy pilots for their first A-4 squadron. The training legacy continued through the A-7 Corsair II era until VA-125 was disestablished on October 1, 1977.
