USS Inchon LPH-12 — Embroidered Patch
The Audacious Landing
USS Inchon (LPH-12) carried the name of General MacArthur's legendary amphibious assault — one of the most audacious military operations in history. This patch represents the sailors and Marines who served aboard the last Iwo Jima-class amphib.
USS Inchon (LPH-12/MCS-12) was the last Iwo Jima-class amphibious assault ship, commissioned in 1970. The ship deployed Marine helicopter squadrons throughout the Cold War and participated in Operation Desert Storm. Later converted to a mine countermeasures command ship (MCS-12), Inchon continued to serve in a unique role until decommissioning in 2002.
Perfect For:
USS Inchon veterans, amphibious assault ship sailors, mine countermeasures community, and Navy warship heritage collectors.
