USS Guadalcanal (LPH-7) was an Iwo Jima-class amphibious assault ship commissioned in 1963. The ship deployed Marine helicopter squadrons throughout the Cold War, participated in Operation Desert Storm, and provided humanitarian relief during numerous crises. Guadalcanal was decommissioned in 1994 after over three decades of service.
