USS Denver (LPD-9) was an Austin-class amphibious transport dock commissioned in 1968. The ship transported Marines, their equipment, and landing craft to amphibious operating areas, participating in operations from Vietnam to the Persian Gulf to the Western Pacific. Denver served for over 46 years before decommissioning in 2014, making her one of the longest-serving amphibious ships in Naval history.
