Attack Squadron 205 (VA-205), the "Green Falcons," was a U.S. Navy Reserve attack squadron based at Naval Air Station Atlanta, Georgia. The Green Falcons operated multiple aircraft types throughout their history, including the Douglas A-4 Skyhawk, the Vought A-7 Corsair II, and the Grumman A-6 Intruder, transitioning through the Navy's attack aircraft inventory as technology evolved and older platforms were retired.
As a reserve squadron, VA-205 maintained a cadre of experienced aviators — many of whom had served in fleet attack squadrons during active duty — who continued to fly and train in the reserve component. The Green Falcons conducted regular training flights, weapons qualifications, and carrier qualifications to maintain their combat readiness, ensuring that the squadron could be mobilized and integrated into the active fleet on short notice.
