Officially Licensed US Navy VA-146 Blue Diamonds Squadron Patch — Attack Squadron 146 Blue Diamonds Embroidered Patch

The Blue Diamonds — VA-146, cutting through enemy defenses with the A-4 Skyhawk like a diamond through glass, one of the Navy's most distinguished attack squadrons.

Attack Squadron 146 (VA-146), the "Blue Diamonds," was a U.S. Navy carrier-based attack squadron with a proud combat record in the Vietnam War. The Blue Diamonds operated the Douglas A-4 Skyhawk and later transitioned to the Vought A-7 Corsair II, serving in both the light attack and medium attack roles from the flight decks of aircraft carriers deployed to the Western Pacific and Tonkin Gulf.

During the Vietnam War, VA-146's pilots flew some of the most dangerous missions in naval aviation — striking targets deep in North Vietnam including bridges, rail yards, supply depots, and military installations defended by one of the most sophisticated integrated air defense systems in the world. The Blue Diamonds' A-4 pilots pressed their attacks at low altitude through curtains of anti-aircraft fire, demonstrating the courage and precision that defined Navy attack aviation in Southeast Asia.

VA-146 later transitioned to the A-7 Corsair II, bringing improved range, payload, and weapons delivery accuracy to the attack mission. The Blue Diamonds continued to serve with distinction through the late Cold War era, deploying aboard carriers as part of the Navy's global power projection capability. The squadron's legacy represents the best of Navy attack aviation — aggressive, precise, and utterly reliable when the fleet needed ordnance on target.

Perfect For: VA-146 Blue Diamonds veterans, A-4 Skyhawk and A-7 Corsair II community members, Vietnam-era naval aviators, carrier attack aviation historians, and Navy heritage patch collectors.

VA-146 Blue Diamonds — hard, brilliant, and unbreakable — cutting through every target the Navy sent them after.
