This is a 4" patch for 1-106, Illinois National Guard, UH-60 Blackhawk unit.

US Army A Co 1-106 AVN Phantoms Patch

A Company, 1st Battalion, 106th Aviation Regiment "Phantoms"

The 106th Aviation Regiment was constituted on 1 October 1986 in the Delaware and Illinois Army National Guard as the 44th Aviation Battalion, and reorganized and redesignated on 1 October 1987 as the 106th Aviation under the United States Army Regimental System, with headquarters at Peoria, Illinois. The regiment was initially organized with the 1st Battalion and Company E, drawing from existing National Guard units across Delaware, Illinois, and Michigan. Operating UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters, the 1st Battalion served as an assault helicopter battalion providing tactical airlift and air assault capabilities.

In 1999, the 1st Battalion, 106th Aviation Regiment headquarters served as the Aviation Task Force Headquarters for the 29th Enhanced Separate Infantry Brigade from Hawaii, and in 2000 supported the 38th Aviation Brigade from Indiana during major training exercises. The battalion was ordered into active Federal service on 15 December 2003 at home stations in support of the Global War on Terror, and was released from active service on 11 June 2005. The regiment's lineage reflects the Army National Guard's vital role in providing trained aviation units ready for both state and federal missions.

A Company, known as the "Phantoms," carries on the proud tradition of Army National Guard aviation, maintaining readiness to deploy worldwide while serving their local communities. The unit operates as part of the broader Army Aviation branch's commitment to providing responsive rotary-wing support to ground forces.

Perfect For: A Company 1-106th Aviation veterans, Army National Guard aviators, UH-60 Black Hawk crew members, Illinois Army National Guard personnel, and Army aviation collectors.

A tribute to the citizen-soldiers of Army National Guard aviation who answer the call to serve both their states and nation with dedication and distinction.

Size is shown on the product page and updates with the variant you select (example: 3"). If you’re mounting on a hat or small panel, choose smaller sizes; for plate carriers and display boards, larger sizes fit better.

If the product is officially licensed, it will say “Officially Licensed” in the title and/or in the product details. If it doesn’t, it’s still a legitimate product—just not part of a licensed program.
