USMC Special Operations Command Patches — USMC Embroidered Patch
Spiritus Invictus — Marine Corps Special Operations Command
MARSOC is the Marine Corps' permanent contribution to United States Special Operations Command — the command that trains, equips, and deploys Marine Raiders to conduct the full spectrum of special operations worldwide. This patch carries the insignia of the command that brought the Marine Corps into the special operations community for good.
Marine Corps Special Operations Command (MARSOC) was activated on 24 February 2006 at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, drawing its initial combat personnel primarily from the Marine Corps Force Reconnaissance community. MARSOC oversees the Marine Raider Regiment (three Raider Battalions), the Marine Raider Training Center, and the Marine Raider Support Group. The command's Raiders are trained to conduct direct action, special reconnaissance, foreign internal defense, counterterrorism, and information operations. Since its first deployment to Afghanistan in 2007, MARSOC has conducted over 300 operational deployments across 13 countries, with its three battalions regionally aligned: 1st Marine Raider Battalion to U.S. Pacific Command, 2nd Marine Raider Battalion to U.S. Central Command, and 3rd Marine Raider Battalion to U.S. Africa Command. MARSOC's motto, "Spiritus Invictus" — "Unconquerable Spirit" — captures the essence of the command.
Perfect For: MARSOC personnel, Marine Raiders, Force Recon veterans, SOCOM supporters, special operations historians, and anyone who honors the unconquerable spirit of America's Marine special operators.
Spiritus Invictus — Unconquerable Spirit.
