Philippine Marines Patch — Embroidered Patch
Karangalan, Katungkulan, Kabayanihan — Philippine Marine Corps
Honor. Duty. Valor. From the beaches of Mindanao to the disputed waters of the West Philippine Sea, the Philippine Marine Corps has served as the cutting edge of the Armed Forces of the Philippines for over seven decades. This patch carries the identity of a force that has earned its reputation in some of the most demanding operational environments in Southeast Asia.
The Philippine Marine Corps was organized on November 7, 1950, at the Naval Operating Base in Cavite City under the mandate of Secretary of National Defense Ramon Magsaysay, who envisioned a light, hard-hitting, mobile force capable of pursuing pirates and lawless elements throughout the archipelago. From its humble beginning as "A" Company of the 1st Marine Battalion, the PMC has grown into a 10,000-strong force with four marine brigades and twelve regular battalions. Philippine Marines have fought communist insurgents, Moro separatists in Mindanao, and ISIS-affiliated militants during the 2017 Battle of Marawi, where Marine Battalion Landing Teams fought block by block to liberate the city.
Perfect For: Philippine Marines past and present, Balikatan and KAMANDAG exercise participants, USMC personnel who served alongside Filipino Marines, and supporters of the U.S.-Philippine alliance.
The cutting edge of the Armed Forces — Kabayanihan.
