Officially Licensed Vietnam Veterans U.S. Marines Patch — Embroidered Patch
Their Service Defined a Generation
This patch honors every Marine who served in Vietnam — from the first advisors in the early 1960s to the last Marines to leave in 1975. Vietnam Veterans U.S. Marines is a statement of identity, service, and enduring pride for the men who fought in the most controversial war of the American century and came home to a nation that wasn't ready to welcome them.
More than 500,000 Marines served in Vietnam over the course of the war, with the III Marine Amphibious Force responsible for operations in the five northern provinces of South Vietnam. Marines fought some of the fiercest battles of the conflict — Hue City, Khe Sanh, Con Thien, Dai Do, the hill fights along the DMZ — and suffered over 13,000 killed in action and more than 88,000 wounded. Despite the political turmoil surrounding the war, Marines performed their mission with distinction at every level. This patch represents all of them — the grunts, the aircrew, the artillerymen, the engineers, the Corpsmen, and every other Marine who served in-country.
