**Officially Licensed USMC VMM-363 Lucky Red Lions Sticker — Marine Tiltrotor Squadron Vinyl Sticker**

VMM-363 Lucky Red Lions — the squadron that earned its nickname from Korean Marines during a Vietnam War offensive so successful it rewrote the playbook. Luck had nothing to do with it.

VMM-363, the "Lucky Red Lions," was activated on June 2, 1952, as Marine Helicopter Transport Squadron 363 (HMR-363) at Marine Corps Air Station Santa Ana, California. Originally flying the Sikorsky HRS-1, the squadron participated in Operation Desert Rock — the first atomic test to use ground troops. Deployed to Vietnam in 1965, the Red Lions' collaboration with Korean Marines during Operation Flying Tiger earned them the Korean lion insignia that became their enduring nickname. The squadron supported Operations Desert Shield/Desert Storm, deployed to Somalia for Operation Restore Hope in 1992, and served in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2006 to 2008. Deactivated as HMH-363 in May 2012, the squadron was redesignated VMM-363 and transitioned to the MV-22B Osprey, now operating under Marine Aircraft Group 24, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, at MCB Hawaii.
