Officially Licensed USMC VMFA-451 Warlords (F-18) Squadron Sticker — Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 451, the Warlords, F/A-18 Hornet era, officially licensed vinyl sticker.
Vini, Vici — the Warlords came, they conquered, and they led the first Marine strike of Operation Desert Storm at 0300 on 17 January 1991.
VMFA-451 traces its roots to Marine Fighting Squadron 451, activated on 15 February 1944 at Marine Corps Air Station Mojave, California, where the unit flew combat sorties over Japan and Okinawa from the deck of USS Bunker Hill. The Warlords callsign and motto were adopted in October 1954 when the squadron upgraded to the North American FJ-2 Fury, and the name carried forward through the F-8 Crusader, F-4 Phantom II, and finally the F/A-18 Hornet, which the squadron received in September 1987. Flying the Hornet from MCAS Beaufort, South Carolina, VMFA-451 deployed to Bahrain on 23 August 1990 in support of Operation Desert Shield, then launched the opening Marine strike of Desert Storm, ultimately logging 770 combat sorties and 1,400 combat hours before the ceasefire. The squadron wound down a 57-year history and was deactivated on 31 January 1997, leaving behind a combat record that spans the Pacific Theater, the Cold War, and the Persian Gulf. This officially licensed vinyl sticker captures the F/A-18 Hornet chapter of that legacy in a durable, weather-resistant format sized for helmets, flight bags, laptops, toolboxes, and display boards.
Perfect For: VMFA-451 Warlords veterans and alumni, F/A-18 Hornet pilots and naval flight officers, Operation Desert Storm and Desert Shield commemorators, MCAS Beaufort community members, Marine fighter attack aviation collectors, shadow box builders, cruise book displays, challenge coin and patch boards, reunion gifts, and anyone preserving the story of Marine Corps strike fighter history from World War II through the Gulf War era.
Warlords heritage, Desert Storm history, and Marine fighter identity — carried on vinyl wherever the mission takes you.
