Officially Licensed USMC HMM-164 Knightriders Leather Patches — Vietnam's Flying Death in Premium Hide
Because the Knightriders have been riding into history since 1964 — and they've never looked back.
HMM-164, the Knightriders, was activated in 1964 and became the first West Coast operator of the CH-46 Sea Knight, introducing the iconic Phrog to combat in Vietnam when they landed at Marble Mountain in March 1966. The squadron flew three and a half years of combat in Vietnam, participated in Operation Frequent Wind — the evacuation of Saigon — where a squadron CH-46D evacuated the last Marine Security Guards from the U.S. Embassy roof on April 30, 1975. The Knightriders went on to serve in Desert Storm, Operation Restore Hope in Somalia, and eventually transitioned to the MV-22B Osprey as VMM-164 in 2015. This leather patch honors the Phrog-era legacy of one of the most storied helicopter squadrons in Marine Corps history.
Perfect For: HMM-164 veterans, VMM-164 Knightriders, CH-46 Sea Knight enthusiasts, and anyone who knows that the last helicopter out of Saigon was a Knightrider bird.
From Marble Mountain to the embassy roof. Knightriders forever.
