**Officially Licensed USMC 2nd Battalion 4th Marines "Magnificent Bastards" Leather Patch**
Dai Do. Con Thien. Ramadi. Helmand. The Magnificent Bastards didn't earn their name by playing it safe—they earned it by walking into the fire and coming out the other side. This leather patch carries over a century of that legacy.
Constituted in April 1914, 2nd Battalion, 4th Marines has fought in every major conflict from the Dominican Republic to Afghanistan. The nickname "Magnificent Bastards" was bestowed by Lt. Col. Joseph "Bull" Fisher in 1964 and made official by battalion order in September 1966. The unit produced six Medal of Honor recipients, including Major General James Livingston for actions at Dai Do where 800 Marines defeated over 10,000 NVA soldiers in one of the Vietnam War's fiercest engagements.
