Officially Licensed US Navy VT-2 Doerbirds Squadron Patch and Name Tags (Black and Silver) - Training Squadron TWO (VT-2), Naval Air Station Whiting Field, officially licensed embroidered patch and name tag set in black and silver.

Where every Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard aviator begins — the Doerbirds of NAS Whiting Field have been shaping military pilots since 1960.

Training Squadron TWO is the Navy's oldest primary training squadron, commissioned on 1 May 1960 at Naval Air Station Whiting Field near Milton, Florida. Its mission is to provide primary flight training to selected student aviators of the United States Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and several allied nations. The Doerbirds syllabus covers approximately 75 hours of instructional flight time in the T-6B Texan II aircraft alongside 50 hours in the flight simulator, taking students through contact, basic instruments, precision aerobatics, radio instruments, formation, and day and night navigation. Roughly 80 Naval Officer Instructor Pilots and 11 civilian personnel work together to graduate approximately 250 student aviators each year. Since commissioning, VT-2 has accumulated more than 2.5 million flight hours and trained more than 24,000 students, making its insignia one of the most widely earned in all of naval aviation. The black and silver color scheme on this officially licensed patch and name tag set reflects the squadron's identity with clean, sharp contrast suited for flight suits, uniform displays, and shadow boxes alike.

Perfect For: VT-2 Doerbirds graduates, student naval aviators, Navy and Marine Corps flight training alumni, Coast Guard aviator veterans, NAS Whiting Field supporters, Training Air Wing Five collectors, military aviation historians, shadow box builders, reunion gift shoppers, and families honoring a loved one's first solo or wings milestone in the primary training pipeline.

Doerbirds heritage, officially licensed and stitched for every aviator who earned their wings at Whiting Field.
