Officially Licensed US Navy VR-57 Conquistadors Squadron Patch - Fleet Logistics Support Squadron 57 (VR-57) Conquistadors, Boeing C-40A Clipper, NAS North Island Officially Licensed Embroidered Patch.

Conquistadors pride, West Coast logistics muscle, and the quiet reliability of a squadron that keeps the fleet moving no matter the mission or the hour.

VR-57 was established at Naval Air Station North Island, California in November 1977 as one of the Navy's jet logistics squadrons, built from the start around active duty and reserve personnel working side by side. The squadron flew the McDonnell Douglas C-9B Skytrain II for more than two decades before transitioning to the Boeing C-40A Clipper in August 2005, becoming the first West Coast squadron to make that conversion. Flying a military derivative of the 737-700C, the Conquistadors provide around-the-clock fleet essential airlift for Fleet and Combatant Commanders worldwide, moving troops, high-priority cargo, spare parts, and personnel into every theater on short notice. That readiness was tested in December 1990 when the squadron was mobilized for Operation Desert Shield, operating out of Sembach Air Base, Germany, and carrying troops, supplies, and munitions across Europe, the Mediterranean, and the Arabian Gulf, earning a Navy Unit Commendation from the Secretary of the Navy. The Conquistadors were also awarded the Noel Davis Trophy in 1987 and 1990 for achieving the highest mobilization readiness among Reserve Force squadrons, and in October 2023 they reached 200,000 consecutive mishap-free flight hours, a record that reflects the discipline and professionalism behind every sortie.

Perfect For: Navy logistics veterans, VR-57 Conquistadors alumni, C-40A Clipper and C-9B Skytrain II crew members, NAS North Island sailors, Fleet Logistics Support Wing collectors, Naval Reserve Force supporters, deployment shadow boxes, cruise book displays, challenge coin and patch boards, reunion gifts, and anyone building a unit-history collection around the people who keep the Navy supplied, connected, and ready across every ocean and theater.

Conquistadors heritage, officially licensed, and stitched for the crews who move the mission forward.
