Officially Licensed US Navy VFA-154 Black Knights vinyl sticker.
Black Knights — F/A-18F Super Hornets, NAS Lemoore, CVW-11 / USS Theodore Roosevelt. Tail code NH.
Strike Fighter Squadron 154 (VFA-154), the "Black Knights," is a U.S. Navy F/A-18F Super Hornet strike fighter squadron based at Naval Air Station Lemoore, California, attached to Carrier Air Wing 11 (CVW-11) and deployed aboard USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71). The squadron's tail code is NH and the call sign is "Knight." The squadron traces its origins to July 1, 1946 when it was established as Naval Reserve squadron VFB-718 at NAS Floyd Bennett, New York flying F6F Hellcats and F4U Corsairs, was redesignated VF-68A and then VF-837, and was officially redesignated VF-154 on February 4, 1953 — under way under the Golden Gate Bridge aboard USS Princeton en route to Korea. VF-154 set a Navy squadron record by flying 48 sorties in a single day on June 15, 1953 with F9F-2 Panthers off USS Antietam, flew the FJ-3 Fury, F-8 Crusader (1957), F-4 Phantom II in Vietnam, and the F-14A Tomcat (October 1983), and adopted the iconic Black Knight insignia designed by Milton Caniff during the F-8 era. The squadron became the Navy's first forward-deployed F-14 squadron in Japan starting in 1991, was redesignated VFA-154 in October 2003 with the F/A-18F transition, and completed its first Super Hornet cruise in summer 2005 aboard USS Carl Vinson with CVW-9. This officially licensed vinyl sticker carries the Black Knights forward. Outdoor-grade vinyl, ready to stick.
Perfect For: VFA-154 Black Knights active-duty and veteran personnel, F/A-18F Super Hornet pilots, WSOs, and maintainers, NAS Lemoore Sailors, CVW-11 and USS Theodore Roosevelt personnel, F-14 Tomcat / F-8 Crusader heritage collectors, Atsugi forward-deployed F-14 community alumni, and Pacific Fleet strike fighter sticker enthusiasts.
