Officially Licensed US Navy VAQ-138 Yellow Jackets Squadron Sticker — Electronic Attack From the Prowler to the Growler and Beyond
From the Mediterranean to the Pacific, the Yellow Jackets have been jamming enemy radars for nearly fifty years.
Electronic Attack Squadron 138 (VAQ-138) — the 'Yellow Jackets' — has been at the forefront of Navy electronic warfare since its commissioning in February 1976. Based at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, Washington, the squadron flew the EA-6B Prowler for over three decades before transitioning to the EA-18G Growler in 2010. During their Prowler years, the Yellow Jackets deployed aboard USS Saratoga, USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, USS John F. Kennedy, USS Ranger, and made eight deployments aboard USS Nimitz — flying combat missions during the Libya airstrikes, Desert Storm, Operations Provide Comfort and Southern Watch, and Operation Allied Force over Kosovo, where they fired more than 60 HARMs against Serbian air defense systems. In the 2000s, VAQ-138 supported Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom aboard USS John C. Stennis and USS Carl Vinson before making the transition to the Growler and becoming an expeditionary electronic warfare force. As an expeditionary squadron, the Yellow Jackets deploy to forward bases across the Indo-Pacific, operating from Misawa, Japan, Clark Air Base in the Philippines, and Andersen AFB in Guam, providing electronic attack coverage where the fleet needs it most. This squadron sticker captures the Yellow Jackets identity — aggressive, versatile, and always ready to project electronic dominance.
Perfect For: VAQ-138 Yellow Jackets aircrew and maintainers, EA-18G Growler and EA-6B Prowler veterans, NAS Whidbey Island personnel, electronic warfare officers, and anyone who has served with the Rampaging Yellow Jackets.
