Officially Licensed US Navy USS Idaho SSN 799 Patch - Virginia-class fast-attack submarine SSN-799, the fifth U.S. Navy vessel to carry the Idaho name, officially licensed embroidered patch.

Esto Perpetua — the Gem State's motto and the battle cry of a Block IV Virginia-class hunter built for the deep, the silent, and the long game.

USS Idaho (SSN-799) was commissioned on April 25, 2026, at Naval Submarine Base New London in Groton, Connecticut, becoming the 26th Virginia-class fast-attack submarine to join the fleet. Built by General Dynamics Electric Boat, she is the eighth Block IV variant of the class, a configuration designed to reduce maintenance periods and increase operational availability while carrying the full Virginia-class multi-mission profile. That profile includes enhanced stealth, sophisticated surveillance, Tomahawk land-attack missiles, Mk-48 torpedoes, and special warfare support, giving the crew tools for open-ocean and littoral operations alike. The Idaho name reaches back more than a century to USS Idaho (BB-42), a New Mexico-class battleship commissioned in 1919 that earned seven battle stars in World War II at Iwo Jima and Okinawa. The christening ceremony in March 2024 honored that Gem State heritage by breaking water collected from Idaho lakes rather than the traditional champagne bottle, a detail that connects the submarine's crew to the land and people behind the name. This officially licensed embroidered patch captures that layered identity in a format built for shadow boxes, cruise displays, patch panels, and veteran collections.

Perfect for USS Idaho crew members, Virginia-class submarine veterans, Navy fast-attack submarine collectors, Naval Submarine Base New London alumni, Electric Boat shipyard workers, Idaho state supporters, Navy family members, shadow box builders, deployment keepsake seekers, and anyone assembling a serious U.S. submarine heritage collection. It also makes a meaningful commissioning-era gift for sailors, chiefs, and officers who were part of bringing SSN-799 to life and into active service.

Gem State deep, officially licensed, and stitched for the crew who took her to sea.
