Officially Licensed US Navy Training Wing 5 Leather Patch - Training Air Wing Five (TRAWING 5), Naval Air Station Whiting Field, officially licensed leather patch.

Where naval aviators are made: the pipeline, the platform, and the pride of Whiting Field in one durable leather piece.

Training Air Wing Five, established in 1972 and based at Naval Air Station Whiting Field near Milton, Florida, stands as the largest training wing in the Naval Air Training Command. The wing is comprised of three primary fixed-wing squadrons flying the T-6B Texan II and three advanced rotary-wing squadrons flying the TH-73A Thrasher, covering both the fixed-wing primary pipeline and the advanced helicopter syllabus under one command. TRAWING 5 accounts for roughly 43 percent of all flight time within the Naval Air Training Command and over 11 percent of the Navy and Marine Corps combined flight time worldwide, graduating approximately 1,200 student aviators every year. Those students come from the Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Air Force, and allied nations, making TW-5 one of the most consequential training commands in American military aviation. The wing's mission is to train, mentor, and deliver naval aviators who are ready to prevail in competition, crisis, and conflict, a standard that instructors from squadrons VT-2, VT-3, VT-6, HT-8, HT-18, and HT-28 uphold every flight day. This officially licensed leather patch carries that institutional weight, giving collectors, graduates, and supporters a tactile connection to the command that shapes the front end of every naval aviation career.

Perfect For: TW-5 graduates and student naval aviators, Navy and Marine Corps flight instructors, NAS Whiting Field alumni, rotary-wing and fixed-wing pipeline veterans, Coast Guard and allied-nation exchange aviators, military aviation collectors, shadow box and display board builders, reunion keepsakes, and families who want a lasting tribute to the training command behind every fleet-qualified naval aviator.

Where the pipeline begins and the wings are earned, stitched into leather that lasts.
