NAS Roosevelt Roads — US Navy Embroidered Patch
The Gateway to the Caribbean
NAS Roosevelt Roads was the Navy's largest installation in the Caribbean — a massive base that served as the gateway for fleet operations, training, and exercises throughout the Atlantic and Caribbean. This officially licensed patch represents the sailors who served at "Roosy Roads."
Naval Station Roosevelt Roads, located in Ceiba, Puerto Rico, was the largest U.S. Naval installation in the Caribbean and one of the most important in the Atlantic Fleet. The station provided fleet support, aviation operations, training ranges, and logistics for Navy and Marine Corps operations throughout the Caribbean and South Atlantic. Roosevelt Roads supported major fleet exercises, anti-drug operations, and humanitarian missions before its closure in 2004.
