HSC-25 "Island Knights" operates from Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, as the Navy's sole forward-deployed expeditionary helicopter squadron. Established as HC-5 in 1984 and redesignated in 2005, the squadron flies MH-60S Seahawks providing search and rescue, anti-surface warfare, vertical replenishment, and special operations support across the vast Seventh Fleet area of responsibility — from the Western Pacific to the Persian Gulf.
