Officially Licensed US Navy CVN 74 USS John C. Stennis Leather Patch - the seventh Nimitz-class nuclear-powered supercarrier of the United States Navy, rendered in a premium full-grain leather patch format with officially licensed insignia.
Look Ahead, Stay Ahead — the motto of USS John C. Stennis defines a ship that has spent decades projecting American sea power across the Persian Gulf, the Indo-Pacific, and every ocean in between.
Commissioned on 9 December 1995 at Naval Station Norfolk, Virginia, USS John C. Stennis (CVN-74) was named for the influential Mississippi senator who championed a strong national defense for more than four decades. She made her maiden deployment in February 1998, transiting the Suez Canal with Carrier Air Wing Seven embarked and arriving in the Persian Gulf to enforce the no-fly zone over Iraq during Operation Southern Watch. Following the September 11 attacks, Stennis deployed again in November 2001 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Over the decades she has operated across the U.S. 5th Fleet and 7th Fleet areas of responsibility, conducting dual carrier strike group operations in the Philippine Sea, freedom-of-navigation transits through the South China Sea, and theater security cooperation missions spanning the Indo-Pacific. Her carrier strike group has included guided-missile cruisers, destroyer squadrons, and embarked air wings flying F/A-18 Hornets, Super Hornets, EA-18G Growlers, and E-2C Hawkeyes. The leather format gives the officially licensed insignia a tactile, heirloom quality that suits shadow boxes, cruise displays, and veteran collections built around one of the Navy's most operationally active nuclear carriers.
Perfect For: USS John C. Stennis veterans and crew alumni, Navy carrier strike group collectors, Nimitz-class enthusiasts, Operation Southern Watch and Operation Enduring Freedom veterans, naval aviation historians, shadow box builders, deployment keepsake displays, reunion gifts, and anyone honoring the sailors and aviators who served aboard one of the most deployed supercarriers in the modern United States Navy.
CVN-74 heritage, officially licensed and pressed into leather for the sailors who kept the watch.
