Officially Licensed US Navy Carrier Air Wing CVW-8 Leather Patch - Carrier Air Wing Eight (CVW-8), callsign Factory, officially licensed U.S. Navy leather patch representing one of the most decorated carrier air wings in naval aviation history.

Factory is airborne, and eight decades of strike power, sea control, and carrier heritage are stitched into every mission CVW-8 has ever flown.

Carrier Air Wing Eight traces its origins to 1 June 1943, when it first operated from Naval Air Station Norfolk and was assigned to USS Intrepid. During World War II, CVW-8 earned five Battle Stars and the Presidential Unit Citation for heroic combat action while embarked aboard USS Bunker Hill in the Pacific. Recommissioned in April 1951, the air wing went on to serve aboard USS Nimitz, USS Carl Vinson, USS Theodore Roosevelt, USS George H.W. Bush, and most recently USS Gerald R. Ford, the first-in-class Ford carrier. Along the way, CVW-8 flew combat missions over Vietnam, supported Operation Eagle Claw during the Iran hostage crisis, engaged Libyan aircraft over the Gulf of Sidra, enforced no-fly zones over Bosnia, and supported Operations Enduring Freedom and Inherent Resolve. Today, CVW-8 conducts offensive air operations against land and sea targets, provides carrier strike group defense, and deploys multi-mission squadrons flying F/A-18E/F Super Hornets, E-2D Hawkeyes, and MH-60R/S Sea Hawks. This officially licensed leather patch carries the full weight of that lineage in a durable, display-ready format suited for shadow boxes, flight jackets, gear bags, and collector boards.

Perfect For: Navy veterans and active-duty sailors with CVW-8 ties, carrier aviation collectors, USS Gerald R. Ford and USS George H.W. Bush alumni, strike fighter and airborne early warning community members, naval aviation historians, deployment keepsake displays, shadow box builds, reunion gifts, and anyone who wants an officially licensed piece that connects a personal story to one of the U.S. Navy's most operationally proven carrier air wings.

Factory heritage, officially licensed, and built to last as long as the missions it represents.
