Naval Air Station Memphis, located in Millington, Tennessee, served as a major Naval Aviation technical training center for decades. The station provided aviation maintenance and technical training for thousands of sailors and Marines who went on to serve in fleet squadrons worldwide. NAS Memphis was also home to the Naval Air Technical Training Center, which trained the aviation mechanics, avionics technicians, and other specialists who keep Naval and Marine aircraft flying.
