NAS Chase Field Beeville — Embroidered Patch
Where Naval Aviators Earned Their Wings
NAS Chase Field in Beeville, Texas, was where thousands of Naval Aviators earned their wings of gold in the blazing South Texas heat. This patch represents every pilot, instructor, and support sailor who served at one of Naval Aviation's most storied training bases before its closure.
Naval Air Station Chase Field, located in Beeville, Texas, served as a major Naval Aviation training installation for decades. The base was named after Medal of Honor recipient Lieutenant Commander Nathan B. Chase and was home to multiple training squadrons that produced thousands of Naval Aviators. Student pilots flew the T-2 Buckeye and TA-4J Skyhawk advanced jet trainers from Chase Field's runways, mastering the skills needed to fly combat aircraft for the Navy and Marine Corps. The station was closed in 1993 as part of the Base Realignment and Closure process, but its legacy lives on in the aviators it produced.
Perfect For:
NAS Chase Field veterans, Naval Aviation training alumni, Beeville-area military community members, T-2 Buckeye and TA-4J pilots, and closed NAS heritage collectors.
