Marine Forces South is the Marine Corps service component to U.S. Southern Command, responsible for theater security cooperation, engagement activities, and contingency response across Central and South America and the Caribbean. MARFOR South Marines work alongside partner nation militaries, building relationships and interoperability that strengthen hemispheric security. This PVC patch represents the Marines who operate in one of the least publicized but strategically important combatant command areas of responsibility.
