Officially Licensed MALS-12 Marauders Car Window Sticker — Keep the Warbirds Flying, Wherever You Drive
No aircraft launches without the Marauders behind it.
Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 12, the "Marauders," is the backbone of Marine Aircraft Group 12 under the 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, currently stationed at MCAS Iwakuni, Japan. Their mission is to provide aviation logistics expertise, planning, and material support to MAG-12 and its subordinate tactical squadrons across the entire Pacific Command area of responsibility. MALS-12 traces its lineage to March 1, 1942, when it was activated as Headquarters and Services Squadron 12 and assigned to the 1st Marine Aircraft Wing. During World War II, the squadron participated in campaigns across the Northern Solomons, Leyte, Luzon, and the Southern Philippines. When war erupted in Korea, HS-12 deployed to Wonson in October 1950 and distinguished itself during the Battle of Chosin Reservoir and the East Central and Western Front campaigns. Redesignated and relocated to Iwakuni in 1956, the unit supported combat operations from Chu Lai and Bien Hoa during the Vietnam War. On October 1, 1988, the squadron became MALS-12 and immediately proved its worth — deploying to the Philippines in 1989 during the attempted coup and supporting Desert Shield and Desert Storm in 1990. The Marauders earned a Navy Unit Commendation in 1995 and were named MALS of the Year with the Donald E. Davis Award in 2012. This sticker represents over eight decades of keeping Marine aviation in the fight across the Pacific.
Perfect For: MALS-12 Marauders past and present, MAG-12 and 1st MAW Marines, MCAS Iwakuni personnel, Marine aviation maintainers and logisticians, and anyone who kept the jets turning in the Western Pacific.
