The Tigers take Student Naval Aviators through the demanding advanced strike syllabus — formation flying, carrier qualifications, instruments, and tactical training — all in the unforgiving humidity and thunderstorms of Mississippi. VT-9 has been turning students into fleet-ready aviators for decades, and every pilot wearing wings who went through Meridian carries a piece of the Tigers with them.
