Official VP-46 Grey Knights 95th Anniversary Patch - Patrol Squadron 46 (VP-46) Grey Knights U.S. Navy Maritime Patrol Anniversary Embroidered Patch, commemorating 95 years of continuous service since 1 July 1931.

Ninety-five years of ocean watch, submarine hunting, and maritime patrol excellence carried in one embroidered emblem.

VP-46 holds a distinction few Navy squadrons can claim: it is the oldest maritime patrol squadron and the second oldest aircraft squadron in the entire U.S. Navy, with roots tracing to its establishment as Patrol Squadron 5-S at NAS Coco Solo, Panama Canal Zone, on 1 July 1931. Over nine decades the Grey Knights flew seven aircraft types, from the Martin PM-2 and PBY Catalina to the P-2 Neptune, P-3 Orion, and today's P-8A Poseidon, accumulating a combat record that includes sinking three German U-boats in the Caribbean during World War II, Korean War patrols, Vietnam deployments, Operation Enduring Freedom missions, and the historic distinction of being the first Navy aircraft to land in Baghdad in April 2003. Based at NAS Whidbey Island, Washington, and assigned to Patrol and Reconnaissance Wing Ten, the squadron has earned the Navy Unit Commendation and the Meritorious Unit Commendation among numerous other awards. A 95th anniversary patch ties that unbroken lineage to a single, collectible embroidered piece that marks the milestone for veterans, crew members, and serious naval aviation collectors alike.

Perfect For: VP-46 veterans and active-duty Grey Knights, P-8A Poseidon and P-3 Orion aircrew alumni, NAS Whidbey Island community members, naval aviation historians, Patrol and Reconnaissance Wing Ten collectors, anniversary reunion attendees, shadow box and display board builders, deployment keepsake seekers, and anyone preserving the story of the Navy's longest-serving maritime patrol squadron. It also makes a meaningful gift for families and supporters who want a tangible tribute to the crews who have maintained ocean watch across 95 years of continuous service.

Ninety-five years of Grey Knight heritage, stitched for the collection, the shadow box, and the long watch.
