Official VMM-363 Lucky Red Lions "Aloha" chest patch.
Aloha from Kaneohe — Lucky Red Lions, MV-22 Ospreys, since 1952.
Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 363 (VMM-363), the "Lucky Red Lions," is a U.S. Marine Corps MV-22B Osprey assault support squadron based at Marine Corps Base Hawaii — Marine Corps Air Station Kaneohe Bay — under Marine Aircraft Group 24 (MAG-24) and the 1st Marine Aircraft Wing. The squadron's mission is assault support of combat troops, supplies, and equipment during amphibious operations and subsequent operations ashore — providing the foundation for the Aviation Combat Element of Marine Air-Ground Task Force missions across the Indo-Pacific. The squadron was activated on June 2, 1952 as Marine Helicopter Transport Squadron 363 (HMR-363) at MCAS Santa Ana, California in response to Korean War demands, redesignated as Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 363 (HMM-363) in 1962, then Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 363 (HMH-363) in 1969, and finally reactivated as VMM-363 in 2012 with the MV-22B Osprey. The Lucky Red Lions have flown the Sikorsky HRS-1, H-34, CH-46 Sea Knight, and CH-53 Sea Stallion before transitioning to the Osprey, and have combat lineage from the Vietnam War, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation Inherent Resolve. The "Aloha" chest patch is the Hawaii-stationed signature design — a tribute to the islands the Red Lions call home and the warm welcome the squadron extends to every Marine, Sailor, and family member who joins the unit. This patch is for all of them.
Perfect For: VMM-363 Lucky Red Lions active-duty and veteran personnel, MV-22B Osprey pilots, aircrew, and maintainers, MCBH Kaneohe Bay and 1st MAW personnel, MAG-24 Marines, HMH-363 / HMM-363 / HMR-363 heritage operators, Vietnam-era CH-46 and CH-53 community members, and Pacific assault support tiltrotor collectors.
Lucky Red Lions Aloha — Ospreys from Kaneohe, Mahalo for the lift.
