Official VMM-265 Dragons Halloween Sticker - Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 265 (VMM-265) officially licensed Halloween-themed vinyl sticker featuring the Dragons insignia.
The Dragons fly with attitude — forward-deployed, Indo-Pacific ready, and carrying a motto that says everything: It's An Attitude.
VMM-265 was first activated on 1 October 1962 and has built one of the most decorated operational records in Marine aviation. The squadron flew CH-46 Sea Knights through Vietnam, supported Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm aboard USS Tripoli and USS Tarawa, and conducted humanitarian relief during Operation Sea Angel in Bangladesh. The first CH-46 Sea Knights to enter USMC service did so in this very squadron, and when the MV-22B Osprey arrived the Dragons were redesignated VMM-265 on 7 September 2012, becoming the first tiltrotor squadron stationed abroad at Marine Corps Air Station Futenma, Okinawa, under Marine Aircraft Group 36 and the 1st Marine Aircraft Wing. Today the squadron serves as the aviation combat element of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, the only continually forward-deployed MEU outside the United States, projecting assault support across the Western Pacific through disaster relief, bilateral exercises, and crisis response. The historical motto Hic Sunt Dracones, Latin for Here Be Dragons, connects the unit's ancient map-edge mystique to a very real forward edge of Marine readiness. A Halloween sticker lets that Dragon identity take on a seasonal edge, blending squadron pride with the kind of dark humor that has always lived comfortably in Marine aviation culture.
Perfect For: VMM-265 Dragons veterans and active-duty crew members, MV-22B Osprey community members, Okinawa and 31st MEU alumni, Marine Aircraft Group 36 and 1st Marine Aircraft Wing supporters, Marine aviation collectors, Halloween display boards, flight-line gear, laptop covers, water bottles, cruise books, shadow box accents, and anyone who wants a seasonal piece of officially licensed Marine squadron identity that carries real unit history behind the design.
Dragons over the Pacific — the attitude is real, the history is earned, and the sticker is built to last.
